The pinnacle of Czechoslovak fortress engineering from 1935–38. An unfinished artillery fort with extensive underground tunnels and the Můstek and Zelený bunkers. The most physically demanding site in the region — 408 steps and an underground temperature of 6 °C.
Bring a jacket — the temperature inside is a steady 8°C year-round — and brace yourself for the three-level underground gallery: genuinely claustrophobic and unlike any museum experience.
