A defensive bastion fortress built in 1780–1787 under Emperor Joseph II. With 45 km of underground tunnels, museums, and granaries, it is one of the best-preserved fortresses in Central Europe.
Bring a warm layer — the underground casemates stay at 10°C year-round — and the 3 km tunnel route is uneven, so wear proper shoes rather than sandals.
