45 km from base
A mountain center at the foot of Sněžka with a cable car to the highest Czech mountain. An extensive network of hiking trails, ski areas and a typical Krkonoše atmosphere. Exit to Giant Mine and Blue Mine.
Take the 4-seat gondola rather than the open chairlift — more dramatic and wind-protected — and start at 8am; the summit clouds over by midday and the Czech-Polish border runs through the summit chapel.
Gateway to Sněžka — cable car to the highest Czech peak
Charming mountain town with traditional Krkonoše architecture
Dense network of hiking trails through alpine meadows
Velká Úpa valley — pristine nature in the Giant Mountains
This is a great hiking destination. We can drop you off at one trailhead and pick you up at another — or bring you back after your hike. Example: drop off at 9 AM, pick up at 3 PM.
